12/12/19: Count your blessings!

We’re heading into the weekend on an important reminder; count your blessings.

Right now, somewhere in the world, someone would do anything to have your most challenging blessing (such as a long commute to work – because you have a job).

If ever there was a time for an attitude of gratitude, this is it.

12/11/19 MIDWEEK: SHAKE IT UP!

Things are going okay but you’re feeling stuck? Might be time to shake it up and have some fun! The holiday season is full of responsibilities but it is also a time full of opportunities to have fun – seize some of them right by the horns!

NOTE: Choose your opportunities wisely; indulgence is one thing but over-indulgence is something else entirely. Do not create The Tower Moment for yourself (i.e. drinking too much at the office X-Mas party and saying things you should not) – be prepared to stop.

REMINDER: Tower moments come and go of their own accord; they are not necessarily negative occurrences – deal with them directly when they occur but do not be overly concerned about their striking – they almost always create opportunities we didn’t even know we wanted.

12/10/19: Prepared and Patient

Despite the length of your To Do Lists, moving through this week with prepared patience will be important. Do not be in a hurry to move forward. Be ready to go when the right time arrives.

Be happy, safe, warm and well.

12/09/19 WEEK: MODERATION!

This week will be all about moderation; make your choices wisely and do not stretch the limits of your resources unnecessarily. This is an important reminder in the holiday season, when it is so easy to get carried away.

PRACTICAL MAGIC TIP: Homemade presents of the magical variety are a wonderful way to express your affections to loved ones. I like to bake treats and blend coffee heavy in vanilla (comfort), orange (warmth), cinnamon (love), and nutmeg (prosperity). This can be done on a budget, and every bit of it is delightful. Give it a try, if only for yourself and your family. Enjoy!

12/06-08/19 WEEKEND: Love. Always.

Spend your weekend embracing duality (your own and others’), enjoying the warmth of connections, and loving people for exactly who they are (rather than in spite of it).

Self-care plays a big part in this as well; you cannot pour from an empty cup (as well you already know) and this holiday season has only just begun – keep some for yourself!

12/04/19: Check your messages!

Capricorn energy is swelling and big changes are underway.**

Practical messages are rising in from every direction so pay attention; some will be obvious, others will be subtle, but all will be useful if you are mindful.

12/04/19 MIDWEEK: Accept advice.

It is important to be independent in thoughts, words, and deeds.

It is also important to accept wisdom from trusted authorities.

This is not the time to argue with your doctor, lawyer, accountant, or tarot card reader ;).

If you are having an issue, or feeling stuck, reach out to your trusted professional.

KEEP IN MIND: If you do not like what they say, that’s fine – and you are not obliged to take their advice – but that is not the same as the advice is wrong. Beware of Pride – it goes before the fall, and it’s a Deadly Sin for a reason.

Wishing you well this mid-week!

12/03/19: LET LOVE IN!

IMG_5445

((Shadowscapes Tarot, Pui-Mun Law & Moore))

Love is the answer this week – the question does not matter.

For most people, this will be expressed in kindness – do the best you can.

For some others, this may be a genuine meeting of a love – be brave enough to say yes.

Follow your best instincts and better angels.

May Love, Light, and Luck be on your side!

12/02/19 WEEK: Patience required.

WELCOME TO DECEMBER!!!

The Holiday Season is well and truly upon us now; no going back!

We are winding up the year with near-endless To Do Lists, competing memories, strained resources, and seriously tested patience.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Although as it turns out, and for no particularly good reason, even that – wishing people “Happy Holidays” – is a source of trouble. As I say, no particularly good reason.

With all that in mind, we open December with simple reminders:

  • Appreciate nostalgia for its own sake, do not attempt to recreate the past.
  • You may feel besieged (see previous re time, resources, etc.) but you are not required to accept every invitation – to a party or a fight – so choose wisely.
  • When in doubt, take a step back and breathe; allow your self a moment to see things in another way, and find your patience in the situation.

None of this easy, and we are just getting started, so pace yourself.
