APRIL 2019 PINK FULL MOON: Happiness & Gratitude

((Dreams of Gaia Tarot, Ravynne Phelan))

The Full Moon is the perfect time to look up in gratitude for the many blessings of our lives, and the happiness we share. This Pink Full Moon is often full of antsy energy as the sap is rising all around us with the Spring season of renewal, joy, and sex (not necessarily in that order). Once again, we ask ourselves,

  1. Where is my happiness? (This week: Nine of Water – Illumination)
  2. Where is my gratitude? (This week: Ten of Earth – Fulfillment)

This two part message is simple and completely in line with this Full Moon; we find happiness in seeing (all three eyes engaged), and we are grateful for the fulfillment we gain moving in the grace and wisdom of Goddess Selene, under her amazing light.

04/18/19 Thursday: Set sail!

((Dreams of Gaia Tarot, Ravynne Phelan))

I hope all is well as we wrap up the work week, headed into the weekend. This is a good time to ask ourselves two important questions:

  1. Where are we going? (This week: King of Water)
  2. What is in the way? (This week: Three of Water)

We are seeking safe harbor this week; follow your own intuition on this – vibes never lie – and you will find what you seek. CAUTION: Do not burden your travels with expectations; you have enough to handle without also forecasting the outcome.

The watery message here is appropriate to the significant Pink Full Moon we are expecting on Friday morning (6:14 AM CST); let this information wash over you and take it to heart – this is the right time to seek the safety and comfort of your haven as the sap is rising all around you.

REMINDER: It is okay to drop your anchor from time to time but do not drop your roots – you are meant to rest so you may move forward.

04/17/19 Wednesday: Speak your truth!

((Dreams of Gaia Tarot, Ravynne Phelan))

Communication is the key to Wednesday; today is the day to speak your truth!

  1. Communicate what? (This week: Integrity)
  2. Communicate how? (This week: Four of Air)

This week, we walk our talk with long, sure-footed strides, shoulders back and heads held high! We have things to say, and people need to hear them. This is not the time to be distracted – be honest, be kind, be direct – and get your messages out!

CAUTION: This is not a license to bully anyone with your”truth.” I cannot tell you how many times I have heard “It’s the truth! I’m just being honest!” as cover for treating others badly. I cannot stress enough THIS IS NOT OKAY. Always ask yourself, is it honest, kind, and helpful? Proceed with caution.

04/16/19 Tuesday: Make a move!

((Dreams of Gaia Tarot, Ravynne Phelan))

Monday delivered the overall energy of this week as well as how best to consider it to our advantage. Today, we seek an appropriate action plan:

  1. Where is the action best applied? (This week: The Youth)
  2. What action is needed? (This week: Eight of Water)

Our Tuesday plan provides sound guidance: It is time to look at new pathways with a cautious eye.

Do you find yourself in a rut? Perhaps you keep treading the same path expecting to see something different, only to be disappointed? Consider looking into different pathways and perspectives. Try a new route to work,  different shade of lipstick, organize your desk to the left – whatever appeals to you – because small changes can be effective building blocks towards bigger changes.

CAUTION: Change for the sake of change is not the same as progress. Question your motives as you make changes; are they positive? helpful? authentic? – if you cannot say yes to all three, ask yourself why you would want to make a change that was not positive, helpful, and authentic. Plot your course accordingly.

04/15/19 Monday: Focused and Flexible!

((Dreams of Gaia Tarot, Ravynne Phelan))

I hope you found the weekend rejuvenating for the new week!

Yesterday, we looked at what the new  week would bring; today, we look at the energy of the week as well as how best to use it in our pursuits.

  1. Overall energy of the Magickal Week (This week: Queen of Fire
  2. Do this! (This week: Seven of Water)
  3. Not that! (This week: Five of Earth)

We lead off with Queen of Fire; the time for confident focus in action is RIGHT NOW! If you have been hesitant to put yourself forward, or reticent in speaking up, KNOCK IT OFF! The world needs you in action as if you mean to set it on fire – and this is the time to light that match!

This energy is supported by Seven of Water: BE FLEXIBLE! You may be on fire but you do not need to burn everything down. REMINDER: “Flexible” is absolutely NOT a code word for wishy-washy or pushover. The ability to go with the flow is a powerful tool of strength, not weakness.

Another thing “flexible” is not? It’s not the easy way out. There will be no short-cuts this week. Five of Earth is here to warn us of this folly; the path of least resistance is not necessarily the same thing as the best route. Some of the time, flexibility will find you making hard decisions, doing difficult things – but that is as it should be, don’t worry about it.

Remember, you already have everything you need. Time to shine!

04/14/19 Sunday: On the way.

((Dreams of Gaia Tarot, Ravynne Phelan))

Sunday, Sunday – what help, that day?

I hope everyone is enjoying a peaceful, easy feeling this Sunday with delightfully seasonal weather, wherever you are (I am in Chicago, IL US, looking forward to Spring flowers!).

No matter how lovely the Sunday, you will inevitably begin to think about the fast approaching Monday, and the new week ahead. And with that, the reflection of Saturday leads directly into the forecast of Sunday:

  1. What will the new week bring? (This week: Six of Air (Swords)

Expect an epiphany this week; you have been working on several fronts, monitoring you personal progress to the best of your ability. This week will likely shed some unexpected light in unexpected places to show you what you need to see – good, bad, or indifferent. Of course, the beauty of this is always the opportunity to make changes that increase your own likelihood to progress…if you want it. Start the new week off right; roll up your sleeves, be brave, and maybe a little crazy.

This week belongs to you – make it whatever you want it to be!

04/13/19 Saturday: Keep and Kick!

((Everyday Witch Tarot, Blake and Alba))

Finally, it is Saturday!

It’s a good time to recharge and reflect after a busy week.

While you are enjoying your latte, perhaps make some notes on how the week progressed; chart your progress, take a good look at learning opportunities, perhaps make some new decisions for the new week. Allow us to provide the keys to your evaluation:

  1. What to keep? (This week: Ten of Swords)
  2. What to kick? (This week: Five of Swords).

Let us start with a quick disclaimer regarding Ten of Swords; stop thinking of it as doom, death, and dismemberment. Swords are still just thoughts and ideas, Tens are still the end of the line. Five of Swords is chaos of the mind.

Put it together, you have an idea that may not have worked out as you planned but likely as not, you are better off for knowing. Ten of Swords is also the perfect time to take a step back, regroup, rest-up, and get back to it. Keep the lessons you have learned here, they will be useful as you move forward. And do not let you own nagging inner voices of self-doubt and recrimination take up space in your head – no one needs that, kick ’em to the curb!

No one ever said building your empire would be easy!

04/12/19 Friday: Happiness & Gratitude

IMG_4270 (1)

((Everyday Witch Tarot, Blake and Alba))

We finish our regular week with a last look over our shoulder before we move into the weekend. This Friday, we take a moment to move in Happiness and Gratitude.

  1. Where is my happiness? (This week: Six of Swords)
  2. Where is my gratitude? (This week: The Lovers)

Taking things out of turn, this is the second appearance of The Lovers in two days. Thursday indicated The Lovers preventing discontent; Friday, we realize just how grateful we are for the love in our lives, and how it fortifies us as we make our way forward. This is not necessarily blissful; The Lovers almost never see eye to eye but that never stops them from moving forward together, a united front. For this, our hearts are full of gratitude – do not keep this to yourself, tell them!

Circling back, our happiness is found in following our own true pathways. Six of Swords requires nothing less than your 100% commitment to yourself (your goals, your path, your needs, your lessons), no matter how difficult you may find this to do. So many of us feel obliged to put everyone else first, never realizing this is the wrong approach. Take good care of you first, and you will have more than enough to share with others. Cut yourself short, and you will find yourself always in lack; no one worth having in your life wants that for you – those who love you want you to live in abundance, not lack!

So move happily forward on your adventure, knowing you are supported by love.

04/11/19 Thursday: Over or under?

((Everyday Witch Tarot, Blake and Alba))

Happy Thursday – the end of the week is near!

We have spent our week making decisions, plans, and gearing up to move forward. And as our week begins to wrap up, we take a look at where we are headed as well as what is blocking our path.

  1. Where are we going? (This week: Four of Cups)
  2. What is in the way? (This week: The Lovers)

While we might not think of an obstacle as a good thing, we can in this case. The power of love is greater than the desire for perfection. We may strive to perfect ourselves (our careers, our homes, our lives, our families, etc.) but at the end of the day, our hearts are full of love, and we accept the blessings of our lives as they are – wonderfully imperfect.

Does this mean we cannot proceed with our plans? No, it does not. It means we can give it our all, appreciate any progress we make, while enjoying the lives we have (rather than waiting to enjoy the life we are creating). In short, we are living in the moment.
