Once again, the weekend is upon us with its promise of rest and relaxation; promises so often unfulfilled as we run errands, complete chores, attend to grown-up life.

NOT THIS WEEKEND!!

Take some time out for fun – it is important to maintain your grown-up life but it is also important to give yourself a break. Make a plan to do something fun, maybe try something new – a new ethnic restaurant, a movie genre you don’t normally choose, something. ANYTHING.

It is very easy to fall into the rut of the mundane, calling it “necessary” and “comfortable.’ This weekend, try something new.

Remember the time…… 

No – and neither do you.

Time not only heals, it colors. Stark memories become muted. Happy memories glister.

Be cautious – see things as they are and later, remember them as they were; do not allow yourself the folly of false romanticism.

Happy memories deserve their accurate preservation.

Unhappy memories serve as wisdom.

Your life. Your experiences. Your memories. Keep them honest.

Something’s coming…something good? Maybe, maybe not – we shall see. 

GOOD NEWS: The Wheel is always turning – good or bad, this moment will not last.

LESS GOOD NEWS: Surprise cannot be avoided; if it is unpleasant, tough it out as best you can.

On the bright side, The Wheel of the year has started anew (for the witchy set) or is wrapping up (for the non-witchy), and November holds some promise for a well-settled and comfortable season. The holidays are approaching and we welcome many surprises during this time.

Halloween Weekend: the perfect time to have fun but an important time to be careful – use your imagination but be smart  and play safe.

Take a look at your surroundings. 

• Are you using your resources wisely or lavishly?
• Do you appreciate your home and Its comforts?
• Are you satisfied?
• Have you allowed the pursuit of money to replace the pursuit of happiness?

INVENTORY TIME!!!!

Take a good, hard, honest look at your home, your life, yourself.

You know money is not love, and it cannot buy happiness, but you may have fallen into the consumer trap nonetheless (it really can happen to anyone). Do not head into the holiday season with a shopping list meant to “buy” love rather than express it. The “perfect gift,” if it exists at all, is unlikely to have the highest price tag.

The ground shifts under your feet – status quo cannot be maintained as the foundation shifts and crumbles.

You cannot stay where you are; it is time to move.
