Let’s look at the components:
PUT IT TOGETHER: We spent the week working on preparations – planning is a good thing, generally speaking – but how did that feed your actions? If your work was well-done, if you kept your eyes on positive outcomes, look forward to things going well and enjoying the comforts of your home, family and surroundings. The power to create positive change is yours, and (BIG REVEAL!!) it has always been within you.
HOWEVER, it can all go the other way just as easily – if you have been negative in your behaviors or toxic in your relationships, it will impact your home. You have the power to bring about negative change, and you will certainly have to live with the results.
TAKEAWAY: It’s up to you – make sure it is what you want it to be. And as always,
ENJOY THE WEEKEND!!

Yesterday, Queen of Pentacles reminded us to get ready for MRx by laying in comfort supplies to ease the frustrations sure to come.
Today, Eight of Swords advises the supreme importance of focusing attention, ignoring distractions, and dealing with issues and events as they are. It may be difficult and/or uncomfortable but it must be done, and as the foreshadowing Ten of Swords warned (see entries 04/20/16 and 04/25/16), you are better off knowing the truth.
MRx is a regular life speed bump – a reminder to slow down in thought and deed – inconvenient perhaps but otherwise harmless if appropriately handled. Take this imposed slowdown as an opportunity to relax, think twice, speak once. Mars Retrograde (currently in progress, 04/17-06/29/16) requires consideration in action; extending patience to include MRx dealings is the best strategy.
BEST OF LUCK!!

The Hostess With The Mostest has arrived just in time to greet (and manage!) our featured (and troublesome!!) guest, Mercury Retrograde. If she can’t handle him, no one can!
This Queen brings comfort, mostly physical, to all she encounters. And today, she is here to fortify us before we must endure MRx. Stock your larders, wash your linens, lay in fluffy towels, check your library for your favorite books. When you are not re-scheduling, revising and revisiting, you can be sipping green tea, snuggling on the couch, reading your favorite Bloom County collection.
Fight the frustration of MRx inconveniences with TLC and self-care.
Remain calm; it’s just another retrograde.

Last week, The Magician arrived on the heels of Ten of Swords (rather flippantly, in my opinion) and reappears here – pay close attention because he really means it this time.
The buzzing in the air is not entirely the fresh tease of awakened Spring; magic is everywhere and alive in every step we take – will you use it or ignore it?
Once again, consider your choice – do you prefer to jump or to fall? As always, I suggest an active decision; better to jump and have some say in where you will land. Use this magical energy to your advantage; do not wait and see what will happen – and something certainly will happen – take part!!!
TAKE CHARGE!!
You are neither victim nor bystander – it’s your magic!!

And it’s deja vu all over again.
Yay. This week is off to a great start; is there no end to the unpleasantness?
Yes. Unfortunately, today is not that day. Today, we continue to face necessary but unwelcome information. Tiresome and disheartening to be sure but better to know than not know – making tough decisions just got a little easier.
Sadder but wiser is still better than happy but stupid.
Count your blessings, brush yourself off, get back to it.

The April Full Moon has many names: Budding Moon, Planting Moon, Egg Moon. This April, I have chosen Pink Moon, a direct reference to the arrival of phlox – a lovely spring flower in many colors, particularly a soft pink, with an intoxicating fragrance – a sure sign Spring has truly arrived.

Have a seat and hold on to that image because you are going to need it.
Let’s take a look at the cards (top to bottom, left to right):

The Queens are women of action, not idle, wistful, or waiting, and they want to get to it RIGHT NOW. Unfortunately, our lovely Pink Moon was ushered in by Mars Retrograde. For our Queens, that means patience is required. The time for immediate action is not quite now; the landscape must be well reviewed to create action rather than reaction. And while it may be we wish to make moves, change directions, and have grown impatient with waiting (Queen of Wands will NOT wait as we well know), any impetuous actions at this time will certainly end in tears.
No one is suggesting you hide under the covers for the duration of this retrograde, and I would never – ever! – suggest anyone avoid the fabulous energy of Selene’s Moon. But it is important to remember not all Full Moons are the same, and this one is particularly good for reviewing, planning and planting – in that order! – for future (near or far) events, activities, and goals. Some suggestions:
