Welcome to the end of October, start of November!

Our new week brings us Samhain and Halloween (October 31st, Wednesday),  Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead, November 1st and 2nd, Thursday and Friday), All Saints And All Souls Days (November 1st and 2nd as well). The veil is very thin; every shadow you see out of the corner of your eye, every hair that stands up on your neck, and every sudden chill, are likely to be contact from the spirit world. Do not allow your imagination to run away with you, treat any contact with respect and dignity, and allow it to pass.*

Despite the thinned veil and festive season, our energy this week is delivered by King of Pentacles; patience, responsibility, careful use of resources and hard work are the guiding principles this week. As you know, Pentacles represent the tangible, practical aspects of our experience; this grounded energy is exactly what we need at this time.

*NOTE: If you are inclined to work with spirits in any way, this is a powerful time to do so but not a good idea for the inexperienced dabbler. Be very careful; you never – NOT EVER – want to summon (or invite, or engage) something you cannot banish. There are no end of cautionary tales on this topic. Always remember, SAFETY FIRST!
