“Affliction comes to us, not to make us sad but sober; not to make us sorry but wise.” Henry Ward Beecher (as quoted by Barbara Moore)
((The Steampunk Tarot, Moore and Fell))
Love comes in many forms, and sometimes it can be hard to appreciate it.
- A mother’s nagging: Wear your hat! Did you eat? Where are you going?
- A girlfriend’s nudging: He’s not good enough. Have you read that book? We’re going out!
- A lover’s courtesy: I bought the tea you like. Let’s wait and watch the show together. Just as you like it – cubano latte with two extra shots.
It is so easy to allow every day difficulties to distract but at the end of the day, who’s got your back? Who cares about your comfort? A fussing mother. A busybody girlfriend. A pet in your lap. All good, all love, all the time.
Embrace the loves in your life – try not to take them for granted – they help you create the best version of yourself.
