Patience is definitely required.

The appearance of this card speaks for itself; a great deal of patience – with ourselves as well as others – is definitely required during this intense retrograde season.

REMEMBER: Think twice, speak once; do not be drawn into arguments.

We may feel some people need a good slap – we MUST resist. The calm Strength is most effective when patience is also engaged.

I know it is a difficult time but we can handle it.

The more Strength you have, the more Strength you need. 

Here we are again, the second time in five days; Strength is the current key to everything these days, and we had better not forget it. The astro-weather is particularly trying (check just about any astrological blog to read all about it), and we can see it playing out all around us, both at home and abroad, upon the world stage. We struggle to resist what some would call “the next new normal,” and it is incumbent upon each of us to draw from our own depths of inner strength to stand firm for what we know is right. The big picture is too important to dismiss, and each small step builds the journey.

TAKEAWAY: Strength is both its own reward and its own punishment – the more you have, the more you need. It is not more than you can bear but rather, exactly how much you can bear.

Impatience. Boldness. Commitment.

What a weekend we are having!!

We have Saturn and Mercury joining Venus in retrograde – strategic calm is needed – we really should not be in a hot hurry to take over the world. And yet…

The cards speak to our growing impatience with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. We are tired of waiting and planning, thinking and rethinking – we want to be doing!!! Of course, we can thank the overdose of Aries energy for some of this as well. 

TAKEAWAY:  Think twice, act once! This is not a time to act rashly. Do not squander all of your careful consideration and planning for the quick release of impetuous movement.

SUGGESTION: Channel your energy into social activities – spend the weekend with friends, loved ones, a special someone, whoever you like – HAVE FUN! Go bowling, or dancing, or whatever. Use your excess energy in ways unlikely to upend your more serious plans. ENJOY!

Stern mistress, indeed!

Since I put very little value on “let,” “allow,” and “permit,” it should come as no real surprise I am generally unwilling to accept dictates – not even from me! I will not be held hostage by my own thoughts or my own heart – I will make my decisions as I see fit and I will not be bullied by anyone – including me!

I TOLD YOU THAT TO TELL YOU THIS: You are not under any obligation to be a suffering slave to your own heart. Knight of Cups serves as a warning; you are on course to break your own heart, and when you do, you will have no one to blame but your self – and you will not like it. This is a collision course with wallowing disappointment – STEER CLEAR!!!!

The cards this week have been ripe for this energy – taking a stand, on your own, drawing from your own inner reserves – and we must do our best to avoid its strangle hold. Draw from yesterday’s Strength. GOOD LUCK!!!

DO NOT ALLOW OTHERS TO INTERFERE WITH YOUR DECISIONS! 

On the heels of yesterday’s Hermit, we need Strength  – and here it is! Walking your own path, following your own light,  keeping your own counsel – all very noble and necessary – can be difficult, and lonely. Strength arrives to lend a hand; use it judiciously – a little goes rather a long way.

WARNING: You are currently vulnerable (that’s why STRENGTH HAS ARRIVED!); do not be wheedled,  cajoled, or otherwise manipulated. You already know what must be done, no matter how difficult or heartbreaking; do not be moved by others pretending they will bear consequences – you already know you are on your own. (And if anyone thinks they know better or have all the right answers, they can make their own decisions and carry their own water!) 

It will all be fine – you are in good hands; your own!!

So little time, so much noise.

Step away from the maddening crowd – sit down, unplug, breathe – and keep your own counsel; the insight you seek will come to you in the stillness, allow it to guide you forward. DO NOT allow the criticism of others to get in your way.

Allow yourself to just be on your own, in your own way. If you can take a few days off and spend them doing something you find enriching or rewarding, this is the time to invest that energy in yourself.

New week, new battles!

Or more likely, the bell goes off for the next round of battles already underway. 

The Seven of Wands appears twice in two days – the battles have only just begun, and they are all likely to be uphill as Mercury heads into Taurus and prepares for the upcoming  retrograde on April 9th. The Aries “LET’S GO!!!” energy of The Hare starts to subside as “Slow and steady…” Taurus energy of The Tortoise begins its takeover. Early days but you can certainly feel it.

No matter how it starts, Monday (and likely most of the week) will include opportunities to stand your ground – with yourself as well as with others – and you must rise to the occasion. NEVER FEAR! You are ready, willing, and able! Do not allow creeping doubt to change your course; do allow yourself the flexibility to update your strategy as needed. 

REMINDER: Winning is important but not at the sacrifice of the whole; recognize when you should drop back, regroup, live to fight another day.

Discretion remains the better part of valor.
