THE BAD NEWS: He really had his way with us on the way through the door!

SHEESH!! WHAT A WEEK WE HAD!!! 

Speaking for a great many, “WHEW!! Am I glad that’s over!!”

And here we are, on to another weekend without further adieu!

Do you have errands to run? Make a list, check it twice, plot the course for the most efficient route – impose order on these chores and you will be grateful for their smooth completion. A nice change from last week, to be sure!

Is your weekend free, and you would like to get away? OFF YOU GO , THEN!! Again, make a plan before you go – even adventure benefits from the presence of a map and compass. Enjoy the journey as well as the destination!

Are you missing old friends? Throw open your doors; have people over (you don’t need a reason, it doesn’t matter why!) Cook? Sure. Order take out? Just as good. Bake a cake? If you like. Express your hospitality to whoever you choose, however you feel best. Talk, laugh, share, just be. It’s all good!  

By the way, if you have the time and the resources, there is absolutely no rule that says you can’t do all three!!

**WHEN THE MOON APPEARS, PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR DREAMS!!**

As many people know, our dreams are full of information – some readily recognizable, some requiring decoding, some quite elusive – all of it useful.

Alas, if only we can fully understand it.

Alas, if only we can remember it!

Often remembering is the hardest part, and if we cannot remember, how can we hope to get it sorted?!?! And of course, the sorting is the important part!

Consider keeping a dream journal; When you wake, write down whatever you can remember – every snippet has value. Review your notes for patterns of information; over time, you will certainly spot recurring themes representing areas of yourself (home, work, love, history, behaviors, whatever) requiring your attention. Meditation is your friend in this, use it to your advantage – meditate on any recorded images (scenes, words, whatever) and notice whatever floats to the top of your consciousness.

Page of Wands is full to bursting with energy meant for DOING things (rather than thinking about things, or planning things). This Page has a great willingness to leap without benefit of looking, which we may consider enviable as a kind of bravery; this is a voluntary baptism by fire – up her alley in all respects!

Sincere encouragement and gentle discipline are needed here; just a little guidance and direction to point this energy in the right direction. Remember, all things are possible, once we know what we are doing.

The gift of yesterday’s Hermit was quiet time to think; the call of today’s Seven of Cups is to make a decision. What goal calls to you? What will you pursue with your earnest zeal? As always, there will be no substitute for rolling up your sleeves and getting the work done but equally as always, intelligent decisions are half the battle.

This is a great time for utilizing your fertile imagination; if you can dream it, you can manifest it. It is important to keep in mind you may not be able to accomplish your goals entirely on your own, and that is okay; do not be afraid to ask for assistance when you genuinely need it. 

Keep your mind open to possibilities and allow yourself to pursue your true heart’s desire. Do not be discouraged if you cannot see the pathway to your goal; trust The Universe knows the way.

We start our new week with some important solitary practices; keeping our own counsel, reviewing our own progress, proceeding at our pace, heeding our own intuition, and maintaining our own self-care.

If this seems an odd way to celebrate Beltane, keep in mind you are not forbidden from sharing a meal, a drink or your bed; just keep in mind you are not meant to share the more intimate details of your projects at this time. Celebrate as you choose – just keep the conversation light!

Reliability. Escape. Resourceful.

The weekend has arrived, and I wish I could say it is restful but alas, no. There is too much to do, and as you know from the week we have been having, we are not nearing the end. But we’ll get by – with a little help from our friends.

This weekend is all about enlisting people we know we can trust; this is not a gamble, these are people we already know to be reliable, resourceful, and willing to assist. Reach out to them, ask for their help, and accept it with gratitude and grace.

Keep your eyes, and ears, open to opportunity! You may already have received assistance  this week but you do not realize it. EXAMPLE: I was lucky enough to win a drawing for a psychic card reading this week* and it was full of great news and reinforcements – perfectly timed, incredibly helpful, and I loved it. Someone I trust has already helped me, and I am incredibly grateful!

SPOILER ALERT: We can hear The Hermit is whispering to himself around the corner; the time for assistance is now – do not squander it. 

Do not be frightened into thinking there is no time for fun or relaxation; self-care remains incredibly important for our personal maintenance. Do not skimp on yourself!

I know it goes against the usual empowerment messages but sometimes, sneaky strategic retreat is the answer. Protect what is yours and keep your head down; the storm will pass – probably quickly – and you can get back on your own track.

Absolutely every journey begins with a first step, no matter how small the step may be, and that last moment before we begin can be incredibly exciting – intoxicating, perhaps…

WARNING: Do not allow excitement to get in the way of your practical mind and thoughtful planning!

No one would ever accuse The Fool of anything so vulgar as practicality, and we are all well-aware of the importance of pairing luck with timing,  but there really is no good substitute for a good map and a compass! ((NOTE: Each year, hikers go missing because they believed they could rely on GPS in their phones, tragic but true. Sometimes, the old methods are still the best methods.))

REMINDER: Plan the work, work the plan!

You spent the weekend creating a thoughtful plan – now’s the time to use it! Take your first step, do not be afraid to revise as needed, and move forward fearlessly. If you fall, get up and start again! 

It’s all about you – make the most of it for yourself!!!
