Speaking for myself, I am always hoping for a better ending than “not stabbed.” Unfortunately, we cannot always have what we want. Some days, “not stabbed” does appear to be the best we can do. 

So, here we are  at the end of a line. Despite our best efforts, this particular avenue did not work out in our favor and is absolutely done. Thank goodness it is over – it really sucked. Of course, there is some disappointment. 

However, as is so often the case, most disappointments are blessings in disguise. Do not allow this particular dead end to steal the wind from your sails. You have plenty of other avenues to pursue; just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get a move on.

In keeping with yesterday’s Ace of Cups, The Lovers find us following our heart’s desires.

If the grounds seems to be rising and falling under your feet, that is two parts excitement and one part anxiety (and sometimes, vice versa) as you actively pursue that which makes your heart sing; a new love, a new job, a new home, whatever! Right now – and I do mean RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE NOW – is the very best time to put your heart into all that you do. 

SOME BRAVERY IS REQUIRED.

No one – particularly NOT me – will ever say this is an easy thing to do. The pathways are unlikely to be easy but then, the truth seldom is. Do not allow bumps and bruises along the way to dissuade you from following your heart’s true path – there is nothing more important than your own authenticity.

Welcome to the weekend!!

This week may have been rough for many (Winter Storm Inga ravaging the Eastern Seaboard, etc.) but the energy has been pretty good for us overall full of ideas, power, and strength. As we come into this weekend, we embrace the final lap of our New Moon intentions – we know what we want and we are committed to manifestation.

This energy surfaces smoothly and with an amount of subtlety. Water has a way of finding its own level in its own way and its own time; the path to achievement may meander a bit more than you anticipate – be patient. However, as with all Wands, when the achievement arrives BAM!! POW!! ZAP!! suddenly, completely and out of nowhere! 

Keep your head up and your eyes open; you are so much closer than you realize.

If you have been exposed to any media source, you know Mama came home with a vengeance.

In times such as these, it is important to remember this energy, strength, and power is not limited to a mother’s protective rage. This energy creates as well as destroys. It is not enough to burn the patriarchy down to the ground if we have no plan to replace it with something better. (NOTE: Matriarchy is still lopsided; respect and equality are too important.)

LADIES: IT IS TIME TO WORK TOGETHER – ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL!!!

This is the time to create the world we want to inhabit and leave behind to our children, their children, etc. Let’s put our backs into it; no more compromising, no more catching flies with sugar, no more “oh, it’s okay, that’s just his way.’ NO MORE! NOT ANY OF IT! Find your voice, speak your truth.

REMINDER: Without question, there is plenty of guilt to go around and all guilty parties, active and passive, must be made accountable. However, we must remember plenty of people – men and women – have been activists as well as allies; we cannot tar them with the same brush. Also, and this is crucial, even as we work to rebuild, civility and kindness must continue to rule the day – otherwise, what is the point?

Normally, when Nine of Swords arrives, we focus on the nightmare scenarios keeping us stuck in the place we are, preventing us from moving on to better things. We are focusing on attachments and expectations.

WE ARE BEING FOOLISH!

NEW PLAN: This week, let’s look at what we can change, what we can ignore, and what we can choose to see differently. Since the sky is absolutely not actually falling, maybe look up and take an inventory of what is happening; our minds are fucking with us, that’s what.

We have arrived at the important news: ultimately, since we are doing it ourselves, we can control it – we can change it. This week, let’s make this our priority; let’s change the thoughts that work against us into thoughts that work for us.
