If you have been exposed to any media source, you know Mama came home with a vengeance.

In times such as these, it is important to remember this energy, strength, and power is not limited to a mother’s protective rage. This energy creates as well as destroys. It is not enough to burn the patriarchy down to the ground if we have no plan to replace it with something better. (NOTE: Matriarchy is still lopsided; respect and equality are too important.)

LADIES: IT IS TIME TO WORK TOGETHER – ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL!!!

This is the time to create the world we want to inhabit and leave behind to our children, their children, etc. Let’s put our backs into it; no more compromising, no more catching flies with sugar, no more “oh, it’s okay, that’s just his way.’ NO MORE! NOT ANY OF IT! Find your voice, speak your truth.

REMINDER: Without question, there is plenty of guilt to go around and all guilty parties, active and passive, must be made accountable. However, we must remember plenty of people – men and women – have been activists as well as allies; we cannot tar them with the same brush. Also, and this is crucial, even as we work to rebuild, civility and kindness must continue to rule the day – otherwise, what is the point?
