11/09-11/18 WEEKEND: Everything old is new once again.

((Sun and Moon Tarot, Vanessa Decort))

Struggle. Success. Nostalgia.

And so our week concludes with some hard-won lessons, and a fresh look at old joys; a near-perfect use of our week’s Three of Cups energy.

Take time this weekend to have fun – the more carefree the better – whatever that means to you and yours.

11/08/18: Opportunity knocks!

Building the future with new seeds, fresh starts, future growth.

((Sun and Moon Tarot, Vanessa Decort))

Our week is closing on a positive note; Ace of Pentacles speaks to opportunities of growth in our lives – abundance in anything we choose to pursue.

What will you do with this energy? What will you build? What will you create?

Whatever you decide to do (or not do), be sure to understand your choices matter, your intentions matter, and where you put your energies matter. You are responsible for what you release into the world.

11/07/18: Banes & Blessings – Step right up!

“I’m your Hell, I’m your dream. I’m nothing in between.”

Meredith Brooks, Bitch

((Sun and Moon Tarot, Vanessa Decort))

Princess of Pentacles brings us the midweek; love, abundance, growth, generosity…also temper tantrums, demands, some jealousy, and stubbornness.

She is still a Princess not yet The Queen.

Princess of Pentacles is a great many things all at once; always shifting into different aspects of herself, not always pleasant, constantly learning who she is. She is both comforting and terrifying in her presentation as she welcomes and warms us while showing us exactly what we need to see. She is part of our tangible world, and she helps us learn how best to live in it….not necessarily comfortably.

We love her but she makes us nervous.

The Princess arrives on the heels of Justice (Karma), perfectly placed to help us metabolize the lessons of the week. Whatever is going on in our lives (individually as well as collectively), we have assistance in turning it into something positive.

REMINDER: This Princess leans towards kindness; be sure to access this part of her energy to the fullest as we can all use more kindness.

And just for fun – because I love it and it really does speak to me – I give you Meredith Brooks:

11/06/18: Karma’s calling!

“Karma bus delayed due to high demand. No worries. It’s coming.”

Justice (read Karma), swoops in this week, armed and ready to go!

Karma delivers COD so be ready to pay up when she arrives.

“The best revenge is always to just happily move on and let karma do the rest.” Unknown

REMINDER: If you are inclined to act is one of Karma’s enforcers, please remember that is NOT how she works. You will be called up to answer for your own actions – no matter the motive.

NOTE: In the US, mid-term elections are held today; Karma may take many forms, and we may not recognized all of them. No matter what occurs, take heart – nothing lasts forever, not even our troubles.

11/05/18: Three is a magic number.

“Somewhere in the ancient mystic trinity, you get three as a magic number.”

Bob Dorough, Three is a Magic Number, Schoolhouse Rock

((Sun and Moon Tarot, Vanessa Decort))

A new day. A new week. A new month.

A new chance to start fresh, finish the year strong.

There is no denying it now; we have reached the end of the year. It is time to wrap up projects, over-throw the government, get ready for the holidays, prepare for the new year.

The energy guiding us this week (and full of its own magic!) is Three of Cups; recognizing and celebrating friendship, fellowship, and love (of all sorts!). Our hearts hold magic, and when we are together, it grows exponentially.

REMINDER: Appreciation is the key to this energy.

Three of Cups brings joy; our attitude of gratitude makes it shine. If we are meant to be ladders, lamps and lifeboats, Three of Cups gives us the opportunity to be all three at once.

As you go through this week, facing politics and other priorities, do not be persuaded to forget the love in your heart or the people dearest to you. Embrace the childlike joy of your youth, when you ran and jumped and giggled with friends for no apparent reason other than you were outside and the sun was shining.

And in an effort to inspire your childlike joy this week, I present the legendary work of  Bob Dorough:

11/2-4/18 WEEKEND: Practical payoffs.

((Sun and Moon Tarot, Vanessa Decort))

Success. Insight. Practical.

Welcome to the weekend!

Now that the week’s festivities are over, it is time to do some practical thinking about the upcoming holiday season; plans for Thanksgiving, Yule, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanza, et al, must be made. Time to make some lists:

  • Who’s hosting?
  • Who’s invited?
  • What will be served?
  • Themes?
  • Hostess gifts?

Also, if you have been bored with the same old traditions, food, etc., start thinking outside the box, researching traditions (and foods) of other cultures, and consider making some small changes (or big changes if you like) to your holiday table and events.

Whatever you decide, please remember the theme of the week is still King of Pentacles; this is not a time for getting carried away, being overly ambitious, or spending lavishly. Keep it simple where you can, and favor authenticity to the best of your ability. It’s about getting together with friends, family and loved ones.

The real gift is love; if that is missing, nothing else matters.

11/01/18: If not now, when?

Round, and round, and round she goes…

((Sun and Moon Tarot, Vanessa Decort))

NOVEMBER 1ST: Day of The Dead, All Saints Day, Witches’ Year begins.

The Wheel (Fortune, Time, Year) is always – ALWAYS – moving, with or without any effort or attention on our part. Time and opportunity are constantly moving towards and away from us – so what have you been doing?

If you’ve been waiting for a sign, I’d say this is it. Whatever you have been putting off, second-guessing or otherwise not attending, KNOCK IT OFF AND GET TO IT!!!

And if you believe in forever, life is just a one night stand…

10/31/18: Time to lead, not follow.

“And the weak shall be made strong”, Donna, not “Might is right,” but rather “Might for right.”

Josh Lyman, The West Wing

((Sun and Moon Tarot, Vanessa Decort))

I hope this finds you enjoying this holiday with grace, gratitude, and humor.

The mid-week brings us a call to further action; building upon yesterday’s Judgement, The Emperor arrives to take care of business; this energy is old school – challenge the bully, defend the weak, keep the lights on. The Emperor rules for the long run – quick fixes are not the answer.

Again, keep it practical!

This energy has its sleeves rolled up but is also prepared to delegate; is it practical to do it all on your own? Probably not. Do not be afraid to ask for assistance.

And for a bit of Halloween magic, we have Nina Simone!

((All images courtesy YouTube, Google Images and Facebook.))

10/30/18: Here’s your hat – what’s your hurry?

“Maestro! Some traveling music, please!” Jackie Gleason

((Sun and Moon Tarot, Vanessa Decort))

Judgement is our call to action; making decisions, following our own instincts, using our best judgement based on our own experiences, are all called for this week.

Please keep in mind the week’s guiding energy provided by King of Pentacles is both responsible and practical; make your choices mindfully, do not bite off more than you can chew. You are only as good as your word, so keep it honest and follow through with any commitments you make.

Just a quick reminder; MRx Shadow has begun – nothing new here but the dates, be patient with yourself and others. Double check all plans, avoid arguments, let slights go by without a second thought. This will pass soon enough – be patient!

And now, with a tribute to Zelda Fitgerald ( 😉 ), The Eagles!
