 BIG DOINGS THIS WEEKEND!!

Here in the USA we have a three-day holiday weekend – 4th of July!! – complete with lemonade, cookouts, and fireworks; plenty of fun to be had!

PLEASE DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!!

All over planet earth, we have a fabulously dark moon of wild energy and deep promise.

Let’s take a look at the cards; we start out a little slowly, realizing not all that glisters is gold and we may need to adjust our thinking moving forward  – time to let go! Stop holding on to the old ways of thinking and doing;  the Sun is shining, the power is yours, and you have what it takes. Believe it or not, you are actually well in control at this time – just be brave and believe it!

This new moon is all about making positive changes for long term self-improvement; plant the seeds now, watch yourself grow!

Begin with gratitude. Start each day with one thing – large or small –  for which you are grateful. Enjoy a cup of tea and be thankful for its warmth and flavor. The positive start to your day will energize all you do.

Banish the negative behaviors of self-defeat.

• Self-doubt: This confidence killer snatches defeat from the jaws of victory by sucking the joy right out of it. Give yourself a break – take your own word for it!
• Negativity: Cease and desist negative thinking, speaking, criticizing and gossiping. Remember the test – is it true, kind, and necessary? If you cannot answer yes to all three, do not speak it and dismiss it from your thoughts – do not allow it to take root!
• Fear: Decisions made from a position of strength are never rooted in fear. Bravery is not the absence of fear itself but rather an absence of allowing fear to guide behavior. Do not give in to fear – stand your ground, starting with yourself!
• Procrastination: Time may be infinite, your personal supply in this lifetime is not. This is your most precious commodity because you can never gain, earn, or recover time lost.
• People-pleasing: I am not sure this is a good quality in a dog, and i am quite certain it is not a healthy quality in a person. Two things: First, find your value within yourself – it is in there, I promise!  – just look for it, and give it the light and food it needs to grow. Second, it is not your responsibility to put the happiness of others before your own – equal footing is healthier for all concerned. Try it and see!

Be fair to yourself; these are longterm changes that may take some time to replace your established paterns. Please be patient with yourself.

HELLO, ALL!!

We ate doing something a little different this week – we are looking at the work week as it is impacted by Mars going direct.

Much of the retrograde would have been spent deciding future actions; perhaps you reviewed existing plans. or mapped new pathways toward your long-term goals. However you spent the retrograde months, you are now about to receive a big blast of DIY energy – we’ve been feeling it in the air, the bottle well-shaken and the cork about to pop.

The cards remind us we are ready to move forward, roll up our sleeves and get things done! What must be done? Doesn’t matter as we are ready to do it, and we are prepared to stray from the tried-and-true ideas. We are not afraid to pursue our goals to the finish and claim our victories.

Summertime is the very best time for wonderful things to land as we often have good weather and free time to celebrate and enjoy. How will you enjoy this weekend? Feet up sipping lemonade? Dancing at a music festival? A back yard cookout? 

Whatever you decide, remember to be grateful for your blessings and opportunities.

WELCOME TO THE GREAT LOVE AFFAIR OF THE SUN AND THE MOON!!!!

The Strawberry Rose Moon arrives with the Summer Solstice this June 2016, and it is spectacular. We are looking forward to approximately 15 hours of sunshine (partially sunny in the Chicagoland area) and a Full Moon at approximately 6am (CST). The Sun and Moon will have their usual dance, kissing in the sky day and night. I think it would do us well to follow their example. Enjoy the company of friends and loved ones, spread the love and affection – more on that later. For now, let’s take a look at the cards:

The cards speak of contentedness, secrets revealed, new ideas, feelings of loss, and power to calmly manage situations as they arise. Sounds like summertime! Our schedules change for kids out of school, free time scheduled, vacations planned, time away strongly desired – there is fun to be had with family and friends! Of course, there will also be arguments, extra laundry, more expenses than anticipated, and piles of work (mail, files, bills, etc) waiting for your return. Everything is manageable, you can handle it – it’s just summertime.

As you make plans to enjoy the summer, keep in mind it is also a good time to bless your home for peace, health, and abundance.

Perhaps try this simple spell: Place in four jars, equal parts lavender, sage, sea salt and white rice; no particular jar size or  order of ingredients is required. If your wish to leave the ingredients in layers or shake them to blend, your choice. Place one jar in each of the four corners of your home – north, south, east, west – and as you do so, invoke the blessing of the Divine Power (deity of your choice, as you believe) to renew, refresh and bless your home with positive energy, peace and prosperity. Be sure to include please and thank you – your gratitude goes a long way.

Lemons and limes bring summer energy into your home; bowls of citrus on tables, freshly-made pitches of iced ade for drinking, fresh-squeezed juice on veggies or grilled fish. This tasty touch of sunshine will likely brighten your mood and boost your immune system.

Strawberries and roses are in season this Full Moon, and we welcome their flavors and fragrances into our homes, diets and picnic baskets as summertime specialties as well. Share them with friends, family, and loved ones for increased feelings of joy and togetherness.

Who doesn’t love strawberry shortcake?
