“You create your spiritual path every time you take a step.”
Deborah Blake
((The Steampunk Tarot, Moore and Fell))
The most important aspect of The Hierophant; he’s really just a man.
((Just like Batman!))
Why is that important? Because the spiritual enlightenment he represents is available to, and attainable by, each and every one of us. We can choose it with every breath and every step we take; compassion, mindfulness, and understanding there is something so much bigger, and we are all a part of it. Accept that, and the responsibility of your own role within it, and your spirit is as strong as The Hierophant.
This energy is a call to accept and step into your own power – whatever it may be – and lead, if only by example. The Hierophant requires no accolade. Break out your pixie dust because it is well past time to employ our faith and trust.

“You’ll have to come right through me, there’s no way around it.”
The Pointer Sisters
((The Steampunk Tarot, Moore and Fell))
WELCOME TO MONDAY!!!
THE GOOD NEWS: Our week opens with the serene confidence of The Queen of Swords. She is quietly fearless because she knows she is always armed and ready for whatever comes next – she is not ornamental, and neither is her sword.
THE BAD NEWS: People often confuse serenity with passivity or weakness – a critical error on their part – calling The Queen to action when she would rather have a cup of coffee in her quiet contemplation.
TAKEAWAY: THIS IS YOUR WEEK AND YOU’VE GOT IT COVERED!

The Full Moon returns to us July 27, 2018 at 3:21 PM CST.
((The Spellcaster’s Tarot, Marquis and Murphy. Empress, Three of Wands, Page of Swords, Three of Cups, Six of Cups, Three of Pentacles. ))
The Thunder Moon of 2018 is not only in Aquarius (big opposition to Sun now in Leo!) it is also a Blood Moon, and a total Lunar Eclipse. TURBO CHARGED!!
Oh, and did I mention Mercury joins five other planets in retrograde?
YOWZA!!!!!!!!
Let’s start with a look at the July Full Moon; although it has many names, it is a Thunder Moon for sure in 2018. You don’t get thunder without lightning (even if you cannot see it) and we are well aware of all the ZAP! POW! KER-PLOOIE!! we have been witnessing as well as experiencing this Summer Season. This is a good time to think about the goals you have been moving towards since January, and where you want to find yourself as the year draws to a close – we are already past the half-way mark.
As Full Moon in Aquarius stares down Sun in Leo, we find our yin-yang in a Battle Royale; the energies are not swirling harmoniously, they are squared off to fight bent on winner take all…which is ridiculous but nonetheless how the energy feels. DO NOT BE FOOLED!! We are neither slaves no victims to this energy as we can control it within ourselves. DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT!!!! Engage the Rule of Five (will it matter in five days, weeks, etc.) before accepting an invitation to an argument, and know you have the right to decline. Additionally, if you feel inclined to give yourself a self-care time out and recede entirely, do it.
Despite the fairly raucous astro-weather in play, the cards above clearly preach a message of peace. Be calm, be aware, be grateful, be at ease, be happy, be safe, be well; do not allow the push-me-pull-you astro-energy to pull you off your pathway. You are in control right from the start (Empress) and three steps right down the center provide the clear passage through this intense energy; you do NOT have to dance to anyone else’s drum!
Speaking of dancing – Summer nights are absolutely meant for dancing in the moonlight! It’s such a fine and natural sight – when that moon is big and bright!
The Summer is wrapping up, and this 2018 Thunder Moon is the only one you will ever have; enjoy it with grace and gratitude.

REMINDER: NOT ALL FORWARD MOVEMENT IS PROGRESS!!!
The Chariot tells us it is time to move on to a new locale; new home, new job, new city, whatever – time to move it along.
REMINDER: IN POINT OF FACT, IT IS UP TO YOU!!!
Many Chariot cards feature what appears to be a rider with no control of the vehicle. Personally, I believe the rider always has control of the vehicle (this is not The Tower!), even if it is not necessarily obvious to the viewer. That said, please note the confidence of the card above; she is NOT a rider, she is a driver – and so confident in her control, she only needs one hand! She knows where she is going because decisions have been made, and she is quite sure she will get there.
CAUTION: RANT UP AHEAD!!!!
I absolutely canNOT stand it when people say, “I have no choice.” There is absolutely no such thing as no choice – there is always a choice! – you may not like any of the choices available, and some may be more untenable than others, but that is not “no choice.” Say what you actually mean, “I chose what I hated least.” AND OWN IT!!! You are responsible for absolutely EVERYthing you do, and claiming you had “no choice” absolves you of absolutely nothing. So buckle up, buttercup! We are here right now and we’ve got shit to do! NO ONE has time for any whining – and that certainly includes you!
RANT CONCLUDED!! *dismounts high-horse, climbs down from soapbox*
Take this Chariot energy and funnel it straight into your pathway pursuits; planning only takes you so far – at some point, actual movement is required. Also, please keep in mind this does not have to be a solitary journey – this is not the Six of Swords, partners welcome! If your partner wants to share this journey with you, be all means include them (if that works for you).
As always, Good Luck and Safe Travels!

“Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky.” Dust in the Wind
((The Steampunk Tarot, Moore and Fell))
We are heading into the weekend with a timely reminder to enjoy the moment. If you have happiness, joy, delight, love, or satisfaction in your life (and you certainly do – look around until you recognize it!), enjoy it right now.
These moments are fleeting; nothing lasts forever – not our troubles and not our triumphs – so appreciate everything you have in your heart RIGHT THIS MOMENT and enjoy.

Given the way things have been going, I cannot help but feel Strength is a little late to the party. Better late than never, I suppose. But seriously, is this trip necessary? Really???? Evidently, yes.
Although we cannot see it, it seems likely to me our young-but-worldly-wise heroine is armed – likely with a blade of some kind (Steampunk, remember) – and therefore not at all helpless in her situation. Why is that important? Because all the strength depicted in this card is CHOSEN. She chooses to be brave, he chooses to be vulnerable (to her). She chooses to help, he chooses to accept her help. They both chooses mercy and gratitude.
TAKEAWAY: Brute strength will not be the answer as we endure a powerful combination of astro-weather (retrogrades), terra-weather (heat waves, flash floods), and personal storms (life changes, hot flashes, politics). The velvet glove will be so much more useful to us than the iron fist….although we keep it close by for ready access if situations call for it.
REMINDER: These are all marathons rather than sprints; patience and bravery are required, making Strength very much welcome. And as always, best of luck to us all. (Because a little luck – like faith trust and pixie dust – never hurts!)

“Sometimes things have to crash and burn to make room for something new and better.”
Deborah Blake
((The Steampunk Tarot, Moore and Fell))
Well, I think it is fair to say Leo Season has entered with a roar.
If you are feeling unsteady, do not panic – the ground may be shifting but you are not stuck in quicksand – grab the well-packed bag you assembled earlier in the month, pick your spot, and JUMP!
NOTE: You do not have to jump if you do not want to; falling and being thrown are also options but I don’t endorse them – wouldn’t you like some say about where you will land? I know I would.
The Tower indicates an absolute end – nothing to discuss, just done with what is. That said, please remember there is nothing preventing you from scavenging the rubble for salvage and/or rebuilding (although it is not necessarily advisable) but you absolutely must wait for the smoke to clear before you make such an assessment. And as always with The Tower, be prepared do discover there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING left to salvage, and there is no choice but to move away completely from the scene.
As with Three of Swords and Ten of Swords (both appeared last week – check the archives if you missed them), our discomfort is actually good for us; growth is always painful and The Tower is no exception. Bravery is required but you’ve got this – even if it doesn’t quite feel like it just yet – believe it!
((All images courtesy Google Images and Facebook.))
Rounding out our challenging week, we find ourselves making serious decisions about life changes. After a brief pause to recover from Thursday’s Ten of Swords, we are ready to move on under our steam, on our own terms.
I know your heart is heavy at the very idea – mine is as well – but you know it is the right thing to do. The time has come to say good-bye to old people, places, and things no longer serving our greatest good. Not easy but definitely necessary – time to move on, time to get going.
Good luck, safe travels, love and light!

“Could be worse…could be raining.” Young Frankenstein
((The Steampunk Tarot, Moore and Fell))
Okay, so it didn’t work out as planned – not the actual end of the world.
Be still a bit, catch your breath and gather your strength; spend a day or two licking your wounds with self-care (and ice cream? yes, please!). Do not dwell on this disappointment.
After a few days, as you grow to feel better and consider your new plans for moving forward, review your previous plan; what can you keep, scrap or change?
And as always, please know this is not just an end but an opportunity for a new beginning – do what you can to make the most of it.
