WELCOME TO THE LAST DAYS OF 2018!!!

We finish the year with a new hope for 2019: changes are on the horizon, we will have no choice but to choose, and have faith in ourselves as well as the the outcomes. 

Some bravery will be required.

If you are taking this weekend to make decisions and future plans (also know as resolutions), write them down with as much detail as you can and make them real to your mind as well as your heart. This is the right time to make the very serious changes you have been toying with in 2018.

Get ready for greatness!

If you are unsure, unsteady, or just scared, set it aside. You are more ready than you realize, and more capable than you know. Remember, the worst day for the caterpillar is the very best day for the butterfly.

WELCOME CHRISTMAS!!!!

If you celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas, they are about to kick-off with a high prevailing energy of welcome and success.

If you are not feeling it, make it so. 

The holidays may be difficult for some of us but we cannot allow it to spoil our fun.  Enjoy the decorations, colors, flavors and fragrances of the season; I know what you’re thinking, “I’m tired of them already – they’ve been out since October!” (and while that may be true) but this is different. This is the time. This THE MOMENT.*

Also, and not to put too fine a point upon it,  these moments are not just about you – they are about everyone. Everyone is selling, serving, delivering, cooking, baking, buying, wrapping, and everything else. Be kind – to yourself and everyone else – by appreciating the effort as well as the intention.

*The Moment can be elusive to us when we are busy; we get distracted, we miss out on the moments, we don’t notice the small things – we let the joy slip away.

Don’t look now but it’s going to be a rough one, folks!

Here’s the thing about The Chariot: it makes us uncomfortable. Here’s the thing about the holidays: they make us anxious. Put these things together, and we have difficult decisions, mistakes made, lies told, apologies pending.

THE GOOD NEWS: No one is going to die from this discomfort.

THE BAD NEWS: “Not dead” really isn’t the height you are seeking for the holidays.

THE TAKEAWAY: Lighten up!

No matter what happens this weekend, make every effort to take it in stride.

WELCOME TO THE WEEKEND!

Yule is in less than a week. Christmas is in ten days.

If you’re not already busy with holiday preparations, this is the weekend to get the lead out!

Holiday errands can be their own adventure; choose festive packaging and ingredients wherever you can (it’s always appropriate!), stop for a festive treat (I really like peppermint mocha!), take a leisurely look at decorations (lots of lights all over the place!), and enjoy each moment. 

Now for DO NOT:

• Do not get stressed out if/when something does not work out (recipe, gift plan, etc).
• Do not over-indulge more than you can handle (tipsy is okay  but be mindful).
• Do not – repeat NOT! – under any circumstances, drive under the influence.
• Do not skimp on your self-care; you need all the TLC you can get!

Enjoy this holiday weekend, alone or with friends, as merry and bright as you want to make it.
