09/08-10/17 WEEKEND: Healing within.

((The Steampunk Tarot, Moore and Fell))

Grief. Need. Nostalgia.

Like it or not, sometimes we must step back to deal with our own healing. This is self-care; we cannot be healthy and whole if we ignore the broken pieces of ourselves. Take time this weekend to look closely at your inner needs – where are you harboring grief, pain, want?

It is time to start the process of setting yourself free.

  • There is no cure for grief; you must experience it, then let it go. There is no more benefit to resisting grief than there is to wallowing in it; you must release it to run its course, and be on its way – you do not need to keep it for yourself.
  • What do you need? Take a good long look, decide what you need, seek it out. NOTE: Do not be afraid to ask for help. If you know someone can help you, ask them to help you. No matter how bad you think it is, you do not have to be alone – help is available, ask for it.
  • Where is your happy place? What memories provide shelter to you when you need it? Allow those memories to escort you through your grief and pain; do not hide in the happy memories, allow them to soothe you as you go through your process.

Please keep in mind you may not be able to complete this process in a day, a week, a month – it takes however long it takes. Also, you may discover you need professional assistance to work some things out; there is no shame in this, and quality assistance is available in a myriad of forms – if you look for what you need, you will find it.

REMINDER: Do not forget the  other aspects of your self-care; get plenty of rest, drink tea, do yoga, meditate, eat nourishing foods, take long showers (or soak in an herbal bath), wear clean and comfy clothes. Care for yourself in all the best ways you know work for you.

And as always, be happy, safe, and well. Love and Light to all!
