06/05/17: Is this really all there is?

DO NOT ALLOW THE MUNDANE TO TAINT THE PEACE AND QUIET YOU WORKED SO HARD TO GAIN!!

Unfortunately, the result of success and stability often includes boredom. We can become addicted to the constant stress and drama of trying to achieve; once we have what we worked so hard to attain, then what? Well, the truth of the matter is fairly simple; no matter who you are, the mundane must be attended. No matter how much success you have, you still need to brush your teeth.

Be curious.

Rather than allowing this realization to pull you into a funk, embrace the calm you have earned. If you yearn for excitement: experiment with recipes, try new herbs and spices, consider a new haircut and/or color, read a book outside your usual interests.

“Curiosity is the cure for boredom. There is no cure for curiosity.” Dorothy Parker
