01/19/16 EUREKA!! New Idea!!! Ace of Swords

“As the great bard said, there is nothing either good nor bad, but thinking makes it so.” Barbara Moore

AS Steam

When you are stuck and don’t know what to do, try something new!

This Ace has landed in the nick of time! There has been quite a bit of activity, much change and some conflict, and we may be feeling a bit off balance. Time for new ideas. Time to take control!

Does the thought of something new create anxiety for you? Okay, that is common for many people – bravery is not the absence of fear but rather action in the face of fear – so let us begin with a few small changes*:

  • Morning coffee: Do you have the same cup of coffee every day? Try something different – perhaps a latte or green tea. Make a decision to drink something different every day for a week. Shake up the routine!
  • Daily news or newspaper: Do you always watch the same news or read the same paper? Spend a week choosing a different news source each day. Different perspectives, different ideas.
  • Commuting routes: We take the same routes every day – while it may make for an efficient commute, it also makes for a sluggish mind. How many times have you arrived at work and you cannot remember the commute? That autopilot is convenient but it lacks presence and it is not a good thing. Spend the week seeking alternate routes, using some new side streets or walking a different block.

The Ace of Swords speaks to your creative-thinking mind; we need to try something new!! Heed its call.

((NOTE: Research has shown small changes in habit can create new pathways in our brains, increasing creativity and nimble thought – please look into it at your convenience as it is rather fascinating if you enjoy that type of thing. 🙂 ))
