Welcome to the weekend – AGAIN!

October is really zipping by, the holidays will be here before you know it, and as always, there is just so much work to be done!

If you have not been embracing Fall and preparing for Winter, this is the weekend to move that right along – take out your sweaters, pose for your holiday card, and finally finish your de-clutter project so you can hunker down without feeling trapped, smothered, or buried by things (and people!) no longer serving you in a positive way. Rapidly approaching Samhain (Halloween more popularly), marks the end of the spiritual wheel, and the beginning of a fresh start (a Witches’ New Year, if you will) so it is a good time to clear your decks and start fresh – particularly as you head into “The Holidays.”* 

As always, I hope you enjoy the weekend. Be happy, safe, and well.

*”The Holidays” is meant to capture all Fall/Winter seasonal holidays occurring after Samhain/Halloween; there are too many to name, please know I count them all as valid, and I hope you enjoy whichever ones you choose for yourself.

Our impatient Page of Swords leads  us into the new week just as she led us into the weekend; she is, as always, in a hurry to get right to her destination – journey be damned! – and she is likely to miss a few things. Despite her extreme self-assurance, she really does need a good wing-man.

DO NOT BE SO FOCUSED ON THE OUTCOME THAT YOU MISS THE JOURNEY!!

What a week we have been having!!

The weekend has arrived, and not a moment too soon! But if you imagined you were in for a break, think again!

• Are you tired of waiting for the other shoe to drop?
• Are you done with feeling completely powerless?
• Are you ready to get this party started?

This weekend is part of the transition; it is time to start moving forward with your new plan. Remember, every plan is perfect until the first shot is fired but you cannot hope to know how the adapt your plan until it is actually in motion.

I would say, “BRACE YOURSELF!” but I do not want you to think something bad is about to land upon you because that is not necessarily true. The Wheel turns without any input from us; we have no choice but to surf the arcs, and that is exactly where our best selves shine through. Be brave, do the very best you can with whatever happens next.

As we begin to face and embrace the changes and opportunities surrounding us, the message of Seven of Swords has arrived in the nick of time:

At anytime, if you feel you are undervalued (or worse, outright disrespected), you are at liberty to gather yourself up and move off to elsewhere; you need not stay where you are unappreciated or diminished – look for a new path and take it!

Yesterday, we spoke of grief; today, we speak of accepting the transition.

Traditionally, Death arrives on a horse; we can hear it in the distance, we know it is coming, even if we are not certain what will arrive. When change is inevitable (and really, everything is always changing), it is in our own best interests to make the very best of the new opportunity presented. You may not have been able to control the change but what happens next is entirely up to you.
