We start a new week with decisions, decisions, decision – it’s time to make them, like it or not!

THE GOOD NEWS: You have plenty of options from which to choose!

IT’S ADULTING TIME!!!!

Do not get caught up in over-thinking every option – follow your intuition, start making serious choices. Seriously, you will never know until you try.

The traditional core meaning as explained by Barbara Moore, “an opportunity for an emotional experience or growth.” Frankly, I could not agree more – it’s my day.

Twenty years ago today, I married my best friend and we have done little else but have emotional experiences and growth in that time. To say we drank deeply from the Ace of Cups would be no exaggeration, and speaking for myself, I would likely have accomplished very little without him. 

When I am Queen of Swords, he is King of Wands.

When I am Queen of Wands, he is King of Swords.

When I am Queen of Cups, he is King of Pentacles.

And when I am Queen of Pentacle, he is thrilled!

I do not require watching or protecting but that never prevents him from watching over me to be sure I am protected. 

I know I can fly as far or as high as I please because he will always have a safe place for me to land when I return.

He never asks for more than I can give but he always gives me all that he has.

Today, Ace of Cups reminds me of how humbled I am by the power of love in my life, and how simply it starts with one small sip.

MAKE A WISH UPON THE STAR!!

The weekend arrives with an amount of calm energy we will need: this is the first weekend of the Holiday Season and everywhere we look (and I do mean EVERYWHERE) we will be faced with a reminder of just how quickly the end of the year holidays will be upon us. Not to panic – the get-up-and-go energy of this week helped identify the ducks for sorting into rows – we know what to do and how to do it. All that is left is the actual doing. (Isn’t that always the way! 😉 )

THE GOOD NEWS: You can handle whatever happens.

THE BAD NEWS: Something is going to happen, and you will have to handle it.

THE TAKEAWAY: It’s not as bad as it sounds.

Always remember: The message of the Three of Swords may be uncomfortable but the heartache will heal; no one dies and you are better off knowing than not knowing. Also discretion is required; do not make a show of dealing with the disappointment – this is your business, and you can handle it on your own. 

REMINDER: This is no time to skip on your self-care; whatever you need to rest, rejuvenate, restore, DO IT! Running yourself into the ground is of no use to anyone, starting with you!

Nothing says “energy for a fresh start!” like the Ace of Wands, and nothing keeps that Ace of track like Strength! Unfortunately, timing is everything; the energy of this Ace is not likely to linger – it moves on very quickly – and you do not want to miss it by stalling when you should be engaging. REMINDER: This energy is all about getting started – you do not have to finish or complete your goal immediately – once you get going in the right direction, the time it takes to complete will be appropriate to the goal (as long as you are focused).

THE TAKEAWAY: If you believe you can, you can; if you believe you can’t , you’re right.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?!?!?!?

As always, the decisions are entirely yours to make; if you are not feeling up to making big strides, or taking on big projects, no one can force you to invest yourself in doing so. However, if you have “that nagging feeling” it will not go away by itself – that which resists, persists – and you will likely be uncomfortable with your own inaction.

Bittersweet. Dramatic. Burdensome.

 HALLOWEEN WEEKEND IS UPON US!!!!

For most people (in the US), this is a hard-partying secular holiday weekend; costume parties, monster balls, silly food, ridiculous drinks, pranks, tricks, treats – OH, MY! To sum up, people will be acting up in spectacular ways. 

How will you handle this crazy energy? 

ASK YOURSELF: Is it worth it?

Generally, reactions are not as good as actions; what you do should be about your own motivations rather than just responding to the behaviors of others. This will be particularly important this weekend; the foolishness will surround you, and it will take effort to avoid it.

For some of us, this is a serious holiday; we are preparing for the final turn before the Wheel begins anew – what will we look for in our new beginning?

NOT DRAMA, THAT’S FOR SURE!!

To sum up: enjoy the weekend but be on your guard for poor behavior leading to worse behavior and unpleasant outcomes. Best of luck!
