The Full Thunder Moon dominated the first half of the week, and we now find ourselves wandering into week’s end. I say wander because a great many people have reported an aimless or drifting feeling this week. Additionally, I did receive some reports of bad behavior spuriously credited to the full moon. You all know the rule:
NO BLAMING THE FULL MOON!! THIS IS NOT THE PURGE!!
Forgive me for repeating myself but as you know, my gentle readers, the energy of the full moon is bright with positive, constructive, creative light – and it can certainly feel a bit overwhelming if you have no thoughts of how best to use it – not an excuse for excessive or poor behavior. As with Mercury Retrograde, full moon cannot – indeed must not – be considered a blank check for poor behavior. (Rant concluded – moving on.)
If you have been following this blog, you know the energy and opportunities have been ramping up towards another big push in the direction of success. We continue to prove our preparations are not wasted as we gather resources and comfort around us to move forward in our projects – and we all have projects! Madame Lucy Zolonga called 2016 “Unhinged” and she has been spot on in that depiction. As we see in the cards above, willfully pursuing our passions will lead to building tangible success and growth.
Follow the moon’s path!

There is still plenty of time to use the light and energy of the full moon to help you get some important things underway – particularly the self-care, self-improvement variety. We all suffer from time to time, and words are incredibly powerful when spoken with conviction and intent. Use them to soothe and heal yourself – you cannot help others until you first help yourself.
I found the following Chant to banish Depression during my on-line travels; I think it is well-written and it covers many areas of depression. As you read through it, notice some piece may not work for you or does not express how you feel (i.e. “Everything in my life seems just vile.”), that is okay – just use the line (or lines) that you feel best for you. Feel free to reorganize the lines as best suit your need.
Remember: Every little bit helps; the more tools you have at your disposal, the more likely you are to succeed.
With Love, Light and Blessings!
Yours, Selene

So, enjoying the stormy summer of 2016? Trick question – obviously not. It has been a difficult year and July has been a particularly trying and sad month.
The cards above carry a familiar messages; in times like these, it is important to remember there have always been times like these. It is okay to be sad, troubled, angered, but life must go on and we must go on with it to the best of our abilities. However, it may be time to try some new approaches, to let go of old patterns and processes and move forward with some new ideas.
Thinking about ways to change our patterns, I have the following suggestions:
STEP 1: SELF CARE. Have you been taking good care of yourself? Have you been getting enough rest? Eating healthy foods? Taking in exercise and sunshine (as simple as a walk around the block during the day)? These simple things may not seem important but they are to keep your own sense of balance. Do not skimp on these small things – sip your tea (or coffee) slowly and enjoy each sip.
STEP 2: GO WITHIN. This comes up often – our lives are so busy, we rarely take time to explore our own inner selves. This is unfortunate as we are each so much more powerful than we realize. Meditation, journaling, alone time, and nature walks are all good practices for going within, exploring the self, and finding the strengths you need to move forward.
STEP 3: INCREASING FREQUENCY. Your own vibrational frequency, that is. In fairness, Steps 1 and 2 begin the process in small slow ways – you are increasing personal positive energy flow within yourself for the purposes of a) repelling negative energy, and b) spreading, possibly generating, positive energy in your life, and in the world. To that plan, breathe deeply, stretch, maybe do some yoga – too passive? Then sing, dance, twirl around the living room listening to music. Take in beauty any way you can and allow yourself to express it in any way that feels good to you. (NOTE: This list does not include sex, not because it isn’t beautiful or awesome but because it may require a partner, distracting necessarily from the self-focus of these activities. If a partner is not required, do as you like.)
STEP 4: SHARE. Share you smile (add it to your good morning when you order your coffee or buy your morning paper). Share your ideas (“It’s a lovely day. We should eat lunch outside.” Share your plans (“I’m going to take a walk in the park before I drive home after work.”). Share your joy – if you are enjoying cake, a song, a flower, share it with others to the best of your ability. Everyone needs joy..
Under current conditions, positivity takes a concerted effort – we must actively choose it for ourselves if we are to spread it to others. It must be done and it is up to us right now.
Perhaps you have heard, “Love is love is love is love is love is love…”

THE WEEKEND AT LAST!!!!
So much going on, it seems time is flying!
We have been much preoccupied with events beyond our control – the media specializes in that variety of distraction – but at the end of the day, your most immediate surroundings and self deserve your greatest attention. The focus this week (Three Wands/Three Swords/Hanged Man/Eight Cups) has been entirely focused on finding new footing for your own path, and the forecast looks good. The time has come to invest your resources in yourself, your goals, your pathway. The message of the weekend is clear:
And as always, have a wonderful weekend!!
