OK – I had planned to remind you all of tonight’s New Moon and your opportunity to set your intentions when I happened upon this post from the Amazing Ruby! She covers everything I wanted to say and I couldn’t have said it better myself. If you aren’t following Ruby, you should be – she knows stuff!!!

Here we are – the last weekend in July ushering in the Dark Moon of August.
We know Summer is winding down and Autumn will be here before we know it. Have you been to Target lately? The Back To School Section is up and running!
As we know, this moon phase is ideal for planting the seeds of new projects; whatever you choose to plant, start with your own grounding. I suggest the following:
Your own connection to the earth (the very ground we walk upon every day) needs to be strengthened before you move forward. The cards above are a reminder – it has been a rough week and we have had some struggles – we are in control of our own plans and actions. The ability to create order from chaos, to find rest from toil, is within us – not within our grasp, within ourselves. We are armed and ready to get the job done, whatever it takes – and it starts with the strength we draw from the earth itself.

OK – I know “starting again” sounds like an imposition (at best!) but in truth, it is an opportunity. You have learned what does not work, and that is very valuable information indeed.
New plan, new recipe, new ingredients – get going!

You didn’t get what you wanted. It didn’t work out as you planned. You are disappointed and feeling a bit bitter about it just now, you are not interested in being consoled.
I understand the importance of a good sulk – helps get the disappointment out of your system. Much like sweating out a fever, it is important to get the toxins out. So release them, send them on their way, and get back to the drawing board.
You are not defeated, merely slowed in your progress – drop back, try again!

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, have a cup of tea, get back to yoga class, and reconsider your plan; obviously, changes will need to be made – make them!
