Yesterday, we touched on pride leading us into battle. Today, we are going to look Pride full in the face. Let us start with the card above; she is beautiful, brave, passionate, driven, capable, fierce – ready for anything! Or so she believes – and she may very well be ready.
But what if she is not?
Probably not.
Pride goes before the fall. While it is important to have confidence, and believe in yourself, it is just as important to be realistic about your abilities. You may be able to move a mountain but be sure to ask yourself, “Should I?” and “Can I support and maintain the change?” because believe it or not, moving the mountain is just the completion of Step One.

As previously noted (here), victory can be too costly; it is victory in name only.
As is usually the case, this could have been avoided by leaving pride at the door and applying the usual common sense screens to decision making.
If the boats have sailed and you already find yourself on the wrong end of the reparations treaty, take a deep breath and relax; the damage is done, it is too late to fret, start think about your own repairs and restoration – take some time for self-care and to de-clutter (your mind, your body, your space). You will need to recharge on every level to handle your “win.”
If you are still embroiled, STOP!! Cut your losses and back out; live to fight another day. There is no shame in changing your mind, goal, strategy, or pathway; no one else’s approval is required.
