As we get ready to head into the weekend, we are greeted with a final call to action; Page of Swords is prepared, organized, and ready to go RIGHT NOW!

So, what are YOU waiting for?

If you are waiting for “the perfect” sign, symbol, opportunity, time, whatever – KNOCK IT OFF! There is no such thing as “the perfect” anything, so let that idea go and get a move on!

Page of Swords is a smack-on-the-ass tactless energy; this is not a soft nudge in the right direction – this is a demand to immediate action, a leap of faith based on knowing you are as ready as you can ever be in advance of actual movement.

The week’s theme is forming; time to go!

Yesterday, Eight of Cups; today, Six of Swords. Spoiler: tomorrow, Page of Swords.

Like it or not, we are meant to be on the move.

If we take a moment to consider, this is likely a natural outcome of our weekend’s reflections; after the gratitude of Monday’s Ten of Cups, we are called to move away from our various stagnancies.

Pack a bag – it’s time to go.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO MAKE THE MOST OF IT!!

Since you are meant to move along, do what you can to make the voyage the best it can be.

I wanted to write a sincere piece about moving on, letting go, being brave; I suppose, of course,  I could still do that… but it occurred to me someone else had already written it  for me.*

*That moment when the clairaudient realizes this is why she has the song stuck in her head.

So with my sincere thanks to Tom Petty (and The Heartbreakers!), I deliver today’s card message:

WELCOME TO THE NEW WEEK WITH GRATITUDE AND LIGHT!!!

If you feel good for no particular reason, look around you; it’s a good day!

I am not saying everything is perfect but I am saying if you take a moment to take a good look, you will surely recognize there are many blessings in your life. Enjoy the moment.

Because water flows, this energy moves in and out of our field and we sometimes forget how fortunate we are; maintain an attitude of gratitude to keep this energy with you.

Solution. Overkill. Paralysis.

We are up to our frontal lobes with Swords this weekend.

This week has been rather intense for many of us, and gratefully we find ourselves at the weekend. A good thing, too, as we have quite a lot on our minds.

Because wrestling with our own thoughts is rough work, this weekend must include mindful self-care. The idea is not to avoid the mind-work before us but rather to incorporate restorative comfort into our tasks. Since we know we cannot pour from an empty cup, we must take good care. As an example, consider taking journal in hand to spend the afternoon in a favorite coffee shop, drinking a comfort beverage, jotting down some thoughts. 

NOTE: You may discover things about yourself, positive or negative, you didn’t realize. Do not be alarmed by this as it seems to be the point of this energy – there are things we do not know, and must learn. May 2018 (and likely June as well),is all about this kind of personal growth and engagement; we are likely to see this energy recurring into the Summer. We will need to get comfortable with the discomfort.

PLEASE REMEMBER: You are important, you are needed, you can do it.

PRACTICAL MAGIC TIP: Coffee and chocolate, in addition to being easily accessible and delicious,  are instantly grounding. Use them to your advantage this weekend while you are pursuing the air energy of thoughts; remaining grounded will likely make it easier for you to see/find/create the practical aspects you will need. Ingest them with gratitude and intention, and they will surely aid you in your mind-work.

Like it or not, we have reached an odyssey energy demanding we go our own way; we cannot allow our agenda, our course, or our intentions to be impacted by others – no one else matters on this particular course, like it or not.

Some days, it may feel burdensome.

Some days, it may seem liberating.

Every day, you will know it belongs to no one but you.

Will it be perilous? Perhaps. Will it be successful? Maybe.

Will you discover yourself? Only if you choose to.

This is a very real “GO FOR IT!” energy requiring not only your commitment but your endurance. This promises to be important, and likely quite trying.

THE BAD NEWS: You must do it on your own; no one else can make it happen for you. If you know what you want, and you choose to go after it, you must know it is largely a solo mission.

THE GOOD NEWS: You can handle it, you’ll be better for it, and no one can ever take it away from you.

Winning isn’t everything. Or is it?

After all is said and done, heavy is the head that wears the crown.

This is a difficult thing to assess; we are taught there is nothing more important than winning but we are not necessarily taught to face the costs. The chaos within is our own struggle to know when not winning is actual the better deal.

No matter what you do, remember your intentions matter. If you set out to win no matter what, you will have no choice but to deal with the aftermath.

Consider your options; think before you speak, think twice before you act, and always keep it positive – The Universe is always listening.

Let’s start the new week off on the right foot, quietly assessing our progress; take a good look at where we are, where we are going, and where we want to be.

Do you see a clear path? Will you set out to create one?

Whatever your assessment may yield, keep in mind this is earth energy; slow moving, cautious, not impetuous. Any decisions you make must be well-considered, carefully planned, and equally carefully executed – build it with care as you see fit – this is Taurus season after all.

NOTE: If you feel you are not progressing as you feel you should, this is a time for patience; recognize you are probably farther than you think, and things will likely pick up after Taurus season has passed. (Gemini is next up and air moves swiftly.)
