KEEP IN MIND: If you do not like what they say, that’s fine – and you are not obliged to take their advice – but that is not the same as the advice is wrong. Beware of Pride – it goes before the fall, and it’s a Deadly Sin for a reason.

WELCOME TO DECEMBER!!!

The Holiday Season is well and truly upon us now; no going back! 

We are winding up the year with near-endless To Do Lists, competing memories, strained resources, and seriously tested patience.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Although as it turns out, and for no particularly good reason, even that – wishing people “Happy Holidays” – is a source of trouble. As I say, no particularly good reason.

With all that in mind, we open December with simple reminders:

• Appreciate nostalgia for its own sake, do not attempt to recreate the past.
• You may feel besieged (see previous re time, resources, etc.) but you are not required to accept every invitation – to a party or a fight – so choose wisely.
• When in doubt, take a step back and breathe; allow your self a moment to see things in another way, and find your patience in the situation.

None of this easy, and we are just getting started, so pace yourself.

Opportunities are on the way – if you are ready, take them!

If you are not, just say “No, thank you.” And do your own thing.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

Sometimes, being grateful means showing up and saying thank you.

Believe it or not, you have the right to set limits as well as demand they be respected. This is difficult during the holidays but you must stand your ground (i.e “Sorry, Mom. I’ve already set the table.”).

NOTE: Some bravery is required but as luck would have it, not more than you have.

DON’T LOOK NOW BUT THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS UPON US!!!

Ready or not, here it comers – family, food, festivities…and also shopping, cooking, cleaning…ughh.

The holiday season tends to take on a life of its own; this is an important time to take a step back, take a deep breath, and do your best not to blow things out of proportion. 

REMINDER: If ever there was a time for gratitude, this is it. Count your blessings.
